Finding and Reguesting Publications
You can find and request materials from the holdings of the Library using the Virtual Library and card catalogues.
You can use the Virtual Library from any computer with Internet access. All registered users of the Wroblewski Library can search for and request publications from any computer at any time of the day.
The Virtual Library includes all the publications acquired by the Library since 1996, high-demand publications acquired before 1996, all periodicals, recatalogued and old books, publications kept in the holdings of the Library’s branches at scholarly institutes.
The entire holdings of the Rare Books Departments in the Virtual Library can be found by entering CIM or SPER (for old periodicals) in the call number search box. Materials held by this department can also be searched using the card catalogues in the Tadeusz Wróblewski and the Old Periodicals reading rooms.
Manuscript documents are listed in a separate Manuscript Collection.
If a required item is not in the Virtual Library, please look for it in a card catalogue, where reader services are provided Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Library has the alphabetical and subject catalogues. The alphabetical catalogue can be searched by author or title (for collective monographs, proceedings, etc.). The subject catalogue can be searched by subject in accordance with the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC).
To request publications found through a card catalogue, please complete a paper request form and submit it to the bibliographer on duty.
If an item is neither in the electronic nor in a card catalogue, you are welcome to request it from the Interlibrary Loan service (ILL).
