The reading room:

The open stacks in the reading room contain over 24000 important 19th-20th-century publications in humanities and social sciences:

  • books and journals,
  • multilingual dictionaries,
  • specialized encyclopedias,
  • source publications.

Readers are welcome:

  • to request an item in advance of their visit through the Library’s Catalogue;
  • to use subscription and open access databases;
  • to save retrieved information to a personal data storage device;
  • to use the Internet, to send and receive e-mail, and to use Microsoft Office applications;
  • to check out the items kept in this Reading Room to all the other reading rooms of the Library.
